I love this adventure!

I value choice in how we live and the art we surround ourselves with. Where we study, where we play, even the mug we select to sip our morning coffee - choice is important! My inspirations and artistry strive to compliment and offer a unique contribution in the joys and passions of our days.

My work is made with Porcelain. It’s like sculpting butter. While when fired it has great strength and offers other visual qualities only porcelain can, all while it is still very fragile. The parallels with life are not lost in my mind. Each piece I make is a unique and organic choice that is imagined, sculpted by hand, fired and finished by me. I thrive on creative challenges and pushing traditional boundaries to uncover new possibilities.

I was fortunate enough to have earned my BA in Studio Art at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where I found my passion, studying Art - Sculpture, Painting, and Architectural Art History. Michael Arntz, Sheldon Kagnoff, Graham Budgett, Ted Villa and the late David Gebhard served as my guides and inspiration throughout my education. Additionally, Leonard Breger and friends of our Peninsula Critique have joined the ranks with my parents as Mentors. Like many artists, my life has had different chapters: graphic arts (prior to computers), teaching parents and young children, working in a medical office, and even suburban landscape design. Art was always a constant choice in every single chapter.

Handcrafting beautiful porcelain pieces that please and excite others brings me such joy. My fluid shapes are organically inspired by the human figure, my travels, my vegetable and flower garden, and the lakes and oceans that I have spent hours in. My pieces reveal fresh inspiration and naked beauty that highlight my explorations of new and different concepts. I also continue to focus on joy in my exciting kinetic balls and play with many different colors. Currently, I am exploring an exciting body of trophy-like sculptures, weight dynamics in mobiles, and sculptural vessels.

In addition to my passions that are evident above, I would be remiss not to mention the influence and support of my wonderful family and amazing friends, my joy and play with clay and painting, skiing and paddle boarding, gardening and cooking. Choice is woven into each of my passions, and my biggest passion might just be meeting new people to discover their own passions and seeing new things that connect us all with art.
